This painting is part of my series ‘ Colour and Time ‘

With this series I continued my exploration of colour, texture & line. Building up multiple layers of paint & wash, through the movement of my brush, the work reveals pockets of complexity, translucent planes & painterly marks.

In making the paintings,I became increasingly aware of the temporal nature of the process; not just the time taken to make the work but the way time seems to stop or speed up, the way thoughts, recollections shape & reshape the work.
